Part Time Support Worker

Studfield Court, Sheffield

22.5 hours per week - shifts to cover 7 days on a rolling rota, no evenings or night shifts

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Support Worker, we're looking for someone with passion and drive to enable our customers to achieve their potential and live more independently within their community.


Studfield Court is a CQC scheme has eight fully furnished, self-contained flats and provides supported accommodation for adults with learning disabilities, who have low to medium support needs.

The scheme is situated in a quiet residential area close to local amenities and has excellent public transport links.

You will use your skills to work with colleagues and partner agencies to achieve the best outcome for our customers.

Sanctuary has their own Learning and Development Academy, who provide a wide range of training courses, open to all.

The position of Support Worker is referred to internally at Sanctuary as Project Worker.

The role of Support Worker will include:

  • Regular key working and support planning sessions
  • Supporting customers by developing their day to day living skills such as: budgeting, dealing with correspondence, cooking and cleaning
  • Supporting customers to build confidence, resilience and selfesteem
  • Working with statutory and nonstatutory agencies on behalf of the customers, actively encouraging choice and involvement, or acting as an advocate when required
  • Assisting customers in resolving or preventing housing debts to help them make timely payments
  • Managing housing benefits and offering advice that helps customers to fulfil tenancy conditions

Skills and experiences:


  • Experience of working with people who have experienced issues around substance misuse with offending behavior
  • A sound knowledge of housing management including voids and arrears management, and an understanding of occupancy agreements
  • The ability to work on your own initiative as you will be required to source innovative solutions to problems that allow customers' independence to be enhanced
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel or similar
  • A NVQ2 in Health & Social Care is essential
