Our CDC's play a pivotal role in the success of our business The PM shift Multi user Team Captain is responsible for directing a team of operatives to meet targets.
You will need to ensure that agreed productivity rates are achieved.You will need to use IT and manual procedures to monitor staff performance and train your team to the highest standard.
Whilst ensuring that damages are kept below the agreed levels (always aiming for no damaged stock).About You:
You will be able to demonstrate effective leadership skills. You will need to be able and comfortable in training others and have knowledge of health and safety. You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
You will be briefing your team on a daily and weekly basis so you will need to be confident and able to provide positive and motivational talks.
Ideally you will have previous experience as a Team Leader, Warehouse/Transport Team Leader.Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
- Ability to engage and deliver motivation and form positive conditions amongst staff
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent own time management with key focus on staff management
- Knowledge of department dependant systems with confidence to learn others
- Ability to use initiative within per determined boundaries
- Ability to prioritise within per determined boundaries
- Knowledge of Transport and Warehouse Distribution processes
- Familiarity with Security, Audit and Compliance processes.
- Good oral and written communication skills
