Acorn Recruitment is hiring an Efficiencies Programme Manager based in the Kent area on behalf of their renowned Health Board Trust client.

Working with the Finance Directorate, your main responsibility will be to drive the development of the Trust's Efficiencies Programme, and manage several projects concurrently, in order to support the Financial Recovery Plan.

Responsible for representationat project meetings, you'll provide high-calibre project management, and act as a core contact for divisional and workstream leads to advise on all matters related to the Efficiencies Programme.


Further role responsibilities:

  • Deliver the Cross Cutting Theme Efficiencies and divisional programmes of work
  • Ensure agreed savings targets are achieved, whilst managing the Trust's efficiency financial tracker
  • Presenting complex reports to committees and senior colleagues, including Project Initiation Documents, Integrated Impact Assessment, and Business Cases
  • Support the Head of Strategy to develop, coordinate and implement any standard work procedures aligned to the Efficiencies Programme
  • Deliver an indepth and uptodate knowledge of the Trust's Patient First Improvement System, how this aligns with the programme and better clinical outcomes for our patients
  • Ensure project documentation is up to date; maintaining programme risk and issue logs; ensuring mitigations are in place and escalated in line with the Trust's risk management policy
  • Deliver high quality, auditable project documentation throughout the programme's lifecycle
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to maintain constant engagement, momentum, and rigour, including Business Intelligence team's data is updated and accurate
  • Ensure personal flexibility if required to meet conflicting/changing programme requirements whilst managing your own workload
  • Maintain the financial efficiency tracker alongside Finance colleagues and support the implementation of a new KPI tracker

Essential Experience or Qualifications Required:

  • Educated to MA Degree level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level
  • Evidence of recent continuing professional development
  • PRINCE 2 Practitioner or equivalent project management qualification
  • Extensive knowledge of range of specialist areas, acquired through postgraduate diploma, experience, training, or equivalent
  • Have specialist knowledge or experience to degreelevel or equivalent
  • Significant experience and knowledge of Project Management within a Health and Social Care Environment
  • Experience of successfully influencing and providing progress updates to internal stakeholders using the relevant project documentation template and correspondence at senior management level
  • Practical experience of delivering financial change within an organisation
  • Proven ability to plan complex projects within a work programme without direct supervision
  • Be able to reprioritise and adjust plans accordingly to ensure timely delivery of projects and project milestones and management reports
  • Leading and influencing in challenging circumstances
This role is a temporary role for an initial 3 month period with the possibility of extension. Your working hours will be full-time, 37.5 hours per week, with a salary of £45,288 - £50,418 per annum.
