Description

Sibford School in the Cotswolds was proud to be rated excellent in its December 2021 ISI report; for both the quality of pupils' academic and other achievements and for the quality of pupils' personal development.

We are seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of class teachers under the guidance of teaching/senior staff.

Tasks will include implementing work programmes, managing pupil behaviour and assisting pupils in relevant activities in line with the school's policies and procedures.

Experience and essential qualifications required:

5 GCSE pass or equivalent of NVQ Level 2 including Maths/Numeracy and English/Literacy
Appropriate First Aid Training
A Level/Level 3 Qualification

Skills and Competencies required:

Good communication skills.
Being assertive, but not aggressive.
Possess empathy and understanding when handling sensitive issues.
Have the confidence to manage class behaviour.
Being highly organised and have good time keeping.

Salary Range:

£22,669 to £24,538 per annum (Associate SCP

This is full time position 37.5 hours working 5 days per week to provide cover for lessons within the school day between 8.25am - 4.15pm.

You may occasionally be asked to provide cover after school for prep, extracurricular etc. Hours to be agreed with line manager in advance but some flexibility will be required.

Role is Term Time only - 34 weeks, plus 1 week.
