In line with our ambition to continually improve our risk management offering and achieve Best in Class, we are looking to strengthen the team to develop the risk consultants of tomorrow.

This is an exciting opportunity for those of you who are highly motivated looking to develop and enhance existing skills and/or qualifications.


You would be an integral member of our Risk Consulting team, who are central to supporting the success of RSA's UK Commercial Lines business, which provides insurance and risk management solutions to SMEs through to large corporate customers across the UK.


This fantastic Graduate opportunity is ideal for those with ambition are coming up to Graduation or have been working in industry or the insurance sector and wishing to develop into a risk management/risk control role.

Extensive training will be provided through an academic programme and our internal offering.

Responsibilities

In this role, we will support you to:

  • Undertake detailed risk assessments at customer locations and conducting account/ prospect reviews to help secure profitable business within the agreed risk appetite and to minimise future claims
  • Provide close technical risk management support to commercial lines trading sites to help with risk selection and the maintenance of technical underwriting practices
  • Support underwriters and other internal stakeholders in promoting the RSA risk management proposition to customers and brokers. This includes being able to articulate at high level areas of the proposition away from the consultant's own areas of expertise
  • Manage customer interactions in an efficient, courteous and timely manner in order to deliver high standards of customer satisfaction
  • Support the wider team in driving through client risk management programmes

This position would suit individuals with good analytical, relationship management and communication skills, as well as a strong desire to attain new qualifications and skills in one of our core technical disciplines of property (including business continuity), liability, construction, and crime.

You must have some sort of engineering degree or background/experience.


Eg:
Mechanical Eng, Civil Eng, Manufactory Eng, Fire Eng, Mechanical Eng or Risk management.
