Are you a commercially aware, chartered accountant who has experience in managing departmental budgets, monitoring overall company final performance and people management experience and wants to join a highly successful and growing organisation that has changed the landscape of travel? The Role As the Head of Finance, you will play a vital role in the overall success of the organisational financial health and advice on the overall commercial viability and smooth working of the business operations.

Reporting to the managing director and attending senior management meetings, you will be the expert in all all financial and accounting activities within the business and will oversee the finance department, its people and day-to-day operations Your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:


  • Providing reliable, accurate monthly information to directors to support decisionmaking Monitoring performance against budgets and providing recommendations where appropriate
  • Leading budget and business planning
  • Cashflow forecasting and management
  • Liaising and building relationships with third parties such as accountants, suppliers, banks
  • Monitoring all company expenditures for reasonableness and ensuring the best value for money across all memberships and expenses
  • Ensuring processes relating to finance within office procedures are adhered to
  • Enhancing and recommending systems and processes for more efficient working and staying updated on financial technologies to enhance processing and reporting
  • Preparation of VAT/Payroll/Pension and other statutory returns (UK & Ireland)
  • Preparation of audit files for annual financial audit
  • Responsible for supervising, guiding, and motivating a finance team to work together towards team targets and delivering excellent customer service.
  • Business Partnering with senior management team and external stakeholders
  • Contingency Planning The Person To be considered for the position applicants MUST hold the following skills and experience:
  • Qualified accountant CIMA/ACA/ACCA with 5 years + experience in a finance role
  • Experience in data analysis and working with large volumes of data
  • Strong numerical skills including financial forecasting, consolidated accounts preparation, cashflow management
  • Commercially focused and able to understand the requirements of the business
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to work in line with procedures with a focus on attention to detail
  • Strong focus of continuous improvement
  • Can do work ethic and ability to work in a fastpaced working environment

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£50,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
