Machine Setter / Operator

Rotherham

Monday - Fridays ( 37 hours a week with Rotating Nights, Afters & Days)

Day shifts:
Mon - Thurs 6am-2pm, Fridays 6am-1pm.

Afternoon:
Mon - Thurs 2pm - 10pm, Fridays 1.30pm - 9pm.

Nights:
Mon - Thurs 10pm - 6am, Fridays 9pm - 4.30am
Do you have experience working on CNCs / Grinders / Press brakes?

Do you have basic knowledge of simple hand tools with a mechanical aptitude?

As a Machine Setter / Operator, you will be required to

Responsible for all aspects of the setting.
Although you will be part of a team, you need to be confident in working alone and using your own initiative.
Following all health & safety procedures and making sure they are adhered to at all times.
Responsible for your own machinery by doing daily and weekly checks on all machinery used.
Manufacture a range of products/parts to the required standards.
Ensuring all work produced is to the required standard by hourly visuals.
Carry out all duties necessary to achieve department goals, production targets and forecasts.
Responsible for operating various machines within the manufacturing cells including changeovers and machine conditions whilst working safely and maintaining the quality against the standards.
The role is physically demanding and 90% of your duties will be standing or walking most of the time.
Occasional use of step ladders to load materials into machines
Potential use of forklifts, pallet trucks, and handling equipment

Experience / Skillset required for this role

Previous experience in plantoperated machines such as Grinders, CNC machines, pressers and more.
Previous use of forklift / pallet trucks. Cranes and lifting equipment
