**SENIOR LEGAL COUNSEL - COMMERCIAL
READING (HYBRID WORKING - 2 DAYS IN THE OFFICE, 3 FROM HOME)
PERMANENT ROLE (CAN EITHER BE FULL TIME OR 4 DAYS PER WEEK)
£70,000 BASIC SALARY + BENEFITS**
Role Overview:Morgan Philips Specialist Recruitment are presently representing one of the leading telecoms providers in the UK in search for Senior Legal Counsel to join their legal team. You will be part of a dynamic and growing team that embraces flexible working optionsallowing team members to choose a work pattern to suit their lives.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Reporting to the Associate General Counsel, you will be responsible for providing legal support to a variety of stakeholders across the business.
  • Providing proactive and pragmatic legal advice on a range of legal, commercial, regulatory, and operational issues and ensuring legal risks are understood and managed.
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating sales and supplier agreements, working closely with the sales, bid, supplier management and commercial teams.
  • Providing specialist advice and guidance on commercial contractual requirements to various stakeholders across the business.
  • Building strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, to educate and advise on technical corporate legal matters.
  • Effectively prioritising the demands of several stakeholders at once and engaging at a senior level.
  • Occasionally advising and negotiating to settle commercial and contractual disputes.

About You:


  • A UK qualified Solicitor with 56 years of postqualified experience is desirable
  • You will have strong experience of drafting and leading negotiations on commercial contracts, especially B2B.
  • Experience of negotiating contracts within the telecoms industry is advantageous, but not a prerequisite.
  • Experience of high value bid support and contract negotiation.
  • An ability to work independently and lead your own matters, with confidence.
  • The ability to multitask, collaborate with and influence multiple stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
