The Revenues and Benefits Service has an exciting opportunity to recruit several Local Taxation Assessment and Processing Officers (Level 3) We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and highly motivated, customer focussed individuals able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.


The service is responsible for the administration, assessments and transactional processes in relation to the Personal Finance Unit (Adult Social Care charging) ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and guidance.

An excellent working knowledge and proven experience of relevant legislation and working procedures is required. We are looking for someone with technical knowledge and good problem solving and decision-making skills.

You will be given a nominated contractual work base and you will be required to commute to this work base when necessary.

Our technology platform and equipment allow you to connect and collaborate remotely which requires that you have in place good connectivity.

This will be discussed during the recruitment process if support is required.

This role will require you to:

  • Calculate, record and process business transactions ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and guidance
  • Analyse and assess data /information to determine outcomes in relation to the payment and/or collection of financial transactions
  • Ability to undertake visits as required
  • Work to well defined standard business processes to analyse information and perform more complex tasks
  • Be proactive in contributing to the achievement of statistical and qualitative performance targets
