Grade E

Salary:
£21,968 to £23,194 plus £216 on call allowances one week in four.

Catterick Village with the expectation to visit sites across Richmondshire Area.

We are looking for a Mobile Warden to join our Lifeline Service in Richmondshire


Our service


Lifeline service has been designed specifically for vulnerable, elderly and disabled to ensure they can live safely, confidently & independently in their own home.

This vital role is where you come in.


The role


As our Mobile Warden you will visit your clients at regular intervals according to their needs, recording visits and any action taken.

You will respond to requests for assistance from clients, action information given by Ryecare in relation to emergency calls & contact them when commencing and finishing duties.

Report any incidents, occurrences or complaints to your Team Leader and provide back-up assistance to Sheltered Housing scheme wardens and provide cover as required.


You will be provided with a van to complete your role for which you will be responsible for the storing, transporting and testing of Lifeline and telecare equipment.

You will be required to move and handle this equipment as well as people, full training will be provided.


Working hours
Core hours: 8.30am to 4.30pm (we can offer flexibility within the core hours).


As part of the role you will be required to work one week in four on call which you will be paid for plus additional hours if called out.


What you will bring
This is a very challenging role that requires someone who is resilient, has empathy and patience to deal with vulnerable clients


You will also:

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to accurately achieve deadlines, record details of incidents and visit
  • The ability to maintain confidential files, data, health information and private knowledge of home contents / key safe information
  • Be open minded with the ability to make decisions, judgements without supervision which are at times under severe pressure and complex health situation
  • Be sensitive and able to communicate with vulnerable people who may have physical and/or mental health issues.
  • The ability to manual handle equipment
Ideally, we are looking for someone who has a good knowledge of Microsoft packages, however full training will be provided,
