Description

We're looking for someone with a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and an ability to balance competing and shifting priorities to join our small and proactive information management team.

You'll help the Library manage its own records and documents. You'll also support our compliance with data protection and freedom of information legislation. Working across the organisation, you'll provide support and guidance for colleagues. You will help the Library manage our analogue and electronic information as best as possible.

With knowledge of records management, data protection, or freedom of information practices and requirements, you will be comfortable working at a fast pace with a supportive, positive, and practical approach to complex and sometimes sensitive areas of information management.

If you are successful, you will be working for one of Scotland's premier cultural institutions, a library that holds the nation's memory in its vast collections.

You'll have the opportunity to work flexibly, where the service allows, and we'll provide you with training and development opportunities.

We have generous annual leave and offer a pension scheme. And of course, you'll join a team of great colleagues.

The post is based in Edinburgh.
