Description

PDG Aviation Services is one of the leading onshore helicopter operators in the UK and Ireland.

We are looking to recruit a full time Aerial Powerline Observer, who must be an experienced overhead linesperson, to carry out aerial powerline surveillance of the electricity networks across the UK and Ireland.

Training in the aviation aspects of the role will be provided to the successful applicant.

Key Responsibilities

Low level power line patrols from 11kv to 400kv
Thermal Image and Corona Inspections
Foot Patrols
Produce reports as required
Work alongside pilots, remote from office, on own initiative
Complete all tasks in a safe, costeffective manner and in compliance with PDG processes and procedures
Liaise with PDG Operations department and clients as required

Key Requirements

The right to live and work in the UK
Full driving licence
Overhead linesperson experience (Distribution or Transmission Network Operator preferable)
Previous competency certs
Physically able with good eyesight and hearing
Good IT skills (digital mobile mapping software etc)
Good navigation skills
Ability to work alone and as part of a small team
