Description
We are looking for a new Clinical Administration Lead to join the General Surgery and Cancer Service.


This role will manage the administrative team an ensure that agreed standards and targets are met in accordance with the Service and national standards, policies and procedures.

You will play a key role in the day to day RTT pathways for outpatients and inpatients across our services.


You will manage the admin teams dad to day and ensure that workflow and output is managed to meet Trust targets.


Support, educate and develop administrative and clinical staff to understand the principles of RTT and maximise and utilise relevant reports and data to support delivery.

Managing staffing levels within a pre-determined level of funded resource as defined by the Service Manager/Care Group General Manager.

Sustainability is integral to the Trust achieving the NHS Net Zero target. All staff are therefore actively encouraged and supported to implement new ways of working within their field of expertise.


The role of the CAL is to support the Service Manager/Performance and Operations Manager with the performance of the waiting lists, demand and capacity, cancer targets and be responsible for data quality within a speciality area.

The CAL will manage the Administration Team for the speciality areas.

Day to day line management and professional supervision to Medical Secretaries and booking teams will be required, ensuring best practice and adherence to Trust policies and procedures is maintained at all times.


You will have substantial experience of working within an NHS organisation, with staff supervision and knowledge of NHS targets and problems solving skills.
