Grade/salary Local Government Service Grade 6

Hours/working 24 hours a week. Term time 39 weeks time

Purpose of Post To work as part of the clerical and administrative support for CEIAG

(Careers, Employment and Independent Advice and Guidance)

Main Duties and Administrate and coordinate a high quality and impactful work
Responsibilities experience scheme. You will be the first point of contact for placement queries, challenges with the full support of the CEIAG
Lead, Head of 6th Form and wider staff.

You will keep up-to-date records of student placement status, ensuring all paperwork is completed in a timely way, Unifrog data systems are updated, risks and issues are recorded and escalated appropriately.

You will undertake some lead generation and secure placements both to support students as needed and to help us develop and maintain a library of potential opportunities.


  • Organise exciting careers events that increase students' aspirations and employability. Every year we run various face
- to-face events, webinars and assemblies that bring the world of school and work together. You will coordinate our calendar of events that enable all students to engage at multiple stages through their school career. You will arrange employer visits, key speakers, book meeting rooms and enable the smooth running of events and enable continual improvement through feedback and evaluation.

  • Help improve and increase uptake and engagement with the careers programme through effective communication. This involves liaising with staff and students with regard to all aspects of the careers programme, Unifrog system, events, website and more. You will create engaging written communications and speak to staff and students across the whole school.
  • You will help ensure individual career support for students. You will help coordinate and organise careers advisor meetings, prioritizing based on needs and availability. You will also maintain data that informs reports on the education, employment and/or training our alumni have secured to help us improve our programme and share with current students.

General Duties As a member of staff, the post holder will:

  • Follow all school policies and procedures

  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of all young people he/she is responsible for or comes into contact within the school.
  • Engage in relevant continuous professional development opportunities and performance management arrangements
  • In addition, the Head teacher may assign reasonable additional or alternative duties at any time as the needs of the school change
  • Whilst every effort has been made to explain the main duties and responsibilities of the post, each individual task undertaken may not be identified
  • The duties of this post may vary from time to time without changing the general character of the post or level of responsibility entailed.
