CV Screen is looking for a Bookkeeper to join a leading independent Accountancy firm with offices across the South West of England.

This role could be worked on a full time or part time basis.

You will be working with some of the most exciting and dynamic businesses across a range of sectors, from Rural and Manufacturing, to Academies and Not for Profits.

Their diverse sector specialism and broad geographical reach across the South West means they have the ability to offer employees a broad range of experience both in the office and at a client's premises.

Responsibilities will include bookkeeping, VAT and management accounting for clients ensuring deadlines and accounting standards are met.

Preparing management accounts monthly and quarterly ensuring details are accurate with clear and net working papers to reflect the accounts produced and ensuring clear cross refencing
Manage and undertake bookkeeping for a variety of clients inputting data and processing payments as required
Monitoring work and liaising with clients to provide information as required
Manage and complete all VAT returns for allocated clients
Composing correspondence to clients, tax office, registrar of companies and others
Visiting clients' sites as required to carry out bookkeeping and management accounts
Conduct training for relevant accounts packages when required, both internally and to clients

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

AAT qualified
2 years+ of bookkeeping experience
Experience preparing VAT returns
Use of Microsoft Excel & Word
Knowledge and experience of cloud accounting packages
Use of Xero / QBO
Use of Iris practice software

SALARY:

A salary of up to 25k is available.
