Description

The Social Prescribing Link Workers will work with the network in supporting them with the NHS England Early Cancer Diagnosis DES.

As this is a new role you will have the chance to shape the service and how the role will evolve over time.

You will be working with patients to help them understand why cancer screening is key for early diagnosis, supporting them whilst awaiting diagnostic tests for possible cancer, and most importantly supporting them after being diagnosed and help them to understand their diagnosis, what the next steps are and match the support that is available locally to help them during this distressing time.

We are looking for a positive team player who strives to go the extra mile to help out colleagues and others who come into contact with the organisation.

The role will require high standards and great attention to detail, in order to provide an excellent service to patients and colleagues.
