We are recruiting for a Part Time - Assistant Accommodation Project Worker on a Permanent Contract, to join our team at Batt House in Bury St Edmunds.


Job Role


The role will include planning and organising activities, key-working individuals, as well as engaging with all of the young people who live within the projects and supporting them to develop socially, personally and spiritually in order that they may grow in confidence and independence.


You will be required to ensure that all residents receive an appropriate level of support and training according to their individual needs; and will assist residents to access education, employment, training and voluntary work experience.


Experience working with a similar client group and an understanding of the needs and challenges these young people face is essential.

Experience delivering group work sessions is desirable, though a full induction and training would be given.


Skills and Experience
In summary, the successful applicant will have the following qualities:

  • Ability to adjust to reactive working environment
  • Good listener and able to show empathy
  • Be a team player
  • Ability to lone work and make decisions

Days and hours 8hrs every other Sunday (2:15pm-10:15pm shifts) plus opportunity to cover other shifts as well.


Salary and Benefits £10.54 per hour / £2192 per annum
