TRAINING INSTRUCTOR


The purpose of this role is to support the Training Delivery Team deliver high quality training courses to delegates, enhancing their competency and skill and enabling them to perform effectively and efficiently within their workplaces.

The Training Instructor should be able to communicate to the delegates about what is expected from training in a simple, engaging, and professional way.


As the Training Instructor, you will assist in ensuring the needs of the delegate(s) are met, and any follow up requirements are met in a timely manner.

You will support the Training Manager in the management, development, delivery and quality assurance of all learning and development in accordance with the awarding body standards, industry standards, and company policies and procedures.


You will be required to both deliver and create content, including the creation of bespoke content and programmes for our clients.

The main types of training will initially be Health and Safety and water industry technical based. This is reflected in the qualification requirements.


We are looking for someone to join a growing team, who is looking for a role which will offer something different every day.

Someone who has experience in the water industry, with clean water operations and in health and safety delivery or management would be a good fit for this role.

Our training is delivered remotely, at our purpose-built training facility or at our client's premises which means there will be some days where travel will be expected and others where courses can be delivered from a remote classroom.


General Duties:


  • To deliver courses as required to industry and awarding body standards.
  • Assess the delegates (if required), mark and collate test papers for all courses.
  • Monitor and review the progress of delegates by using questionnaires and through discussions.
  • Work within a team to ensure programmes are standardised and meet the requirements of the delegates, content providers and clients.
  • Produce training materials for courses and programmes.
  • Produce training materials for courses in close partnership with awarding bodies and client needs.
  • Ensuring that statutory training requirements are met.
  • Keep up to date with developments in training practices.
  • Resolve problems, either on a onetoone basis or in groups.

Qualifications:


  • 2 years' experience in a similar trainer role or training others as part of their role
  • Level 3 or 4 Award in Training and Development / Education and Training Qualification (PTTLS / CTTLS)
  • EUSR Trainer accredited (Ideal but not required)
  • NEBOSH National General Certificate or Equivalent
  • IOSH Technical membership
  • Competent in use of MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint Teams and Zoom
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Training accreditations (Please provide list of _
    all_ courses you are able to deliver)
