Description

Tasks to be carried out on a daily basis are dependent upon ability and could include the below. However, initially the main task will be timber stacking (labour intensive).
The role entails working outdoors and subsequent exposure to outside elements.

If timekeeping and attitude to work is good we can provide in house training on all the below tasks:

Timber/log processing (bandsaw, multirip, crosscut, stenner, chainsaw)
Pallet manufacturing
Loadall and forklift operations require the correct licences in order to operate

Experience preferred but not essential. All necessary PPE is provided.

The successful applicant will be expected to meet high standards of time keeping, work ethic, and a willingness to learn new skills necessary to the daily sawmill operation.

Initial pay rate will be based on experience, with opportunities to increase pay based upon performance and the successful ability to learn and carry out new tasks.

Hours of work:
Monday-Thursday - 7:30am-5pm (including 2 x 30 minute breaks)

Friday - 7:30am-2:30pm (including 1 x 60 minute break)
- _Opportunities for overtime_

From £10.50 per hour
