Pro-rata £15,591 per annum based on FTE equivalent of £20,587

Part Time - Permanent

The Portsmouth Grammar School is a leading co-educational school located in the historic heart of Portsmouth.

The Role

The Teaching Assistant will work under the direction and supervision of teachers in order to help promote effective learning and teaching and report to the Deputy Head of the Junior School.

The role will be to support in Years - 6.

The start date will be as soon as possible and no later than 4
th
September 2023.

Working hours:
35.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday, term time only

Main Responsibilities

To contribute to the quality of care and the welfare of pupils
To contribute to the effective organisation and use of resources
To support the needs of pupils in effectively accessing the curriculum
To support the quality of teaching and learning in the classroom
To undertake all necessary training for the role
Previous experience of a similar role within a Junior School Setting (Desirable but not essential)
