Description

We're looking for a razor-sharp Senior Content Editor to join our Marketing team on a
hybrid basis in
Kings Cross, London.

As Senior Content Editor, you'll oversee all editorial content published on by our team of writers: motoring guides, car reviews, Top 10s, news stories and more.

You'll likely have a digital journalism/editorial background - able to spot a typo a mile off and a proud member of the grammar police.

You'll also be familiar with editorial SEO best practices, ideally with time spent 'on the tools' doing keyword research, planning and/or brief-writing.

Key responsibilities

Editing longform motoring content, including proofreading and feeding back to writers
Making evidencedbased decisions on content production plans and priorities
Coaching writers in how to write more impactful copy
Ownership of the cinch style guide and guardian of how cinch's tone of voice is used editorially
Responsibility for ensuring legal compliance of all editorial content
Editing press releases, landing pages and other copy as required
Adhoc SEO keyword planning and guidance

Necessary skills and experience

Experience in similar role(s) for consumerfacing brand(s)
Exceptional editorial skills grammar, spelling, sentence structure, etc.
Working understanding of onpage SEO bestpractices (e.g. metadata, internal linking)
Understanding of legal publishing guidelines
Strong copywriting skills
Highly organised and processdriven
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Nice-to-haves

Interest in motoring and the automotive industry
Awareness of content design best practices
Analytical thinker able to interrogate performance data to make evidencebased decisions
Experience working with Product teams to improve the presentation of digital content
Brief writing for, and editing of, SEO longform content
