Established in 1948, The Classic Mineral Water Company is a privately owned business who manufacturer PET bottles of Spring Water, Flavoured Spring Water and Soft Drinks.

The business has grown substantially over the last 2 years and continues to go from strength to strength.

Production Supervisor
Production Supervisors are responsible for the on-time and efficient delivery of quality products on a production floor. These professionals continuously monitor and improve production processes to ensure maximum output, cost efficiency and safe working conditions.

A large part of the job involves the training and management of a production team.

Production Supervisors assist create and implement work schedules, provide guidance for production team members and take disciplinary action when needed.

They also report on a team's performance to a General Manager and make recommendations regarding ways to improve employee efficiency and job satisfaction.


Their duties include overseeing routine production activities, troubleshooting and solving issues that arise on a production floor and ensuring a safe and clean production workspace.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that production processes are in line with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Accurately completing all necessary documentation for regulatory compliance.
  • Informing a production team of preferred occupational health and safety practices.
  • Communicating expectations to production team members and evaluating their performance.
  • Implementing relevant emergency response procedures during emergency situations.
  • Regularly checking the machinery and checkpoints to ensure safe and efficient workflow.
  • Compiling reports about production and providing management with updates.
  • Managing the repair or replacement of faulty production equipment.
  • Ensuring all resources and assets are used efficiently and correctly.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills to actively listen to stakeholders and clearly verbalise ideas and action plans.
  • Excellent organisational skills to plan production schedules and ensure the availability of necessary materials and equipment.
  • Strong analytical skills to determine problems within the production process and take appropriate action.
  • Good timemanagement skills to minimise downtime and ensure a team works efficiently.
  • The ability to cope with pressure and make sound decisions quickly.
  • A firm understanding of health and safety regulations.

Essential Criteria

  • A minimum of 35 years previous experience as a Production Supervisor or Assistant within a FMCG business.
  • Takes a pride in maintaining hygiene standards and cleaning routines to ensure that all legal requirements are met.
  • Possess and be able to demonstrate strong people and organisational skills. The ability to support and motivate a team is essential.
  • This is very much a "hands on "position which requires someone to "lead from the front," be adaptable to changing work requirements, able to work under pressure in a fastpaced environment and be customer focused.
  • Able to work later hours when required during busy periods.
  • The ability to follow schedules.
  • Experience in KPI's
  • Proficiency in quality control and routine/preventative maintenance.
  • Manage operators Holidays and return to work.
