POSITION:
The Product Owner is responsible for planning, leading, organising and motivating agile project teams. You will be operating in a fast-paced environment and will likely be responsible for managing several concurrent product initiatives.

Product Owners at Gladstone have vital inward and outward facing roles working with customers, sales, customer support, training, and development teams.

Focused on delivering the best possible value for both the customers and Gladstone.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Take ownership and drive product visions forward alongside a great team of amazing and collaborative people
  • Work closely with internal cross functional teams to help lead your product initiatives from cradle to grave, overseeing the entire product lifecycle
  • Own the product backlog, defining the scope and leading requirements gathering and working alongside the development team to break down stories
  • Act as the 'Voice of the customer' within the R&D department
  • Supporting the scrum master in facilitating sprint planning and execution
  • You will provide regular product updates to executive team and to the company
  • Be a driving force for positive change throughout the business at both product and process level and be seen as an expert on customers, the market, and competitors.

What you will need to succeed:

  • Experience in a similar role with a track record of successfully implementing software or web development projects
  • Experience in project delivery
  • The ability to build cross-functional collaboration with development, design, marketing, sales, and other departments
  • An analytical mind that can work in a fast-paced environment
  • Be a true owner of your product.

Extra kudos if you have:

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) Scrum Alliance
  • Any experience of project with a heavy UI / UX design component is a distinct advantage.

Your personal characteristics will include:

  • A natural communicator: excellent oral and written communications skills
  • A decision maker: ability to lead the team and define scope
  • Experience of developing and presenting product roadmaps to senior stakeholders and managers
  • Experience of managing multifunctional project teams
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle models and experience in Agile methodologies
  • Be able to demonstrate the ability to analyse and document complex product requirements, mapping out feature sets, and producing a delivery plan
  • A creative approach to problemsolving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the "big picture" view
  • Flexibility: understand that business priorities change; able to adapt and move quickly to cater to this.
