Marketing Assistant

JOB HOLDER
RESPONSIBLE TO Marketing Manager, General Manager
WORKING HOURS 40 hrs a week / Tuesday - Saturday

9am - 5pm with a 20min break
Additional 2 hours per week set for marketing requirements outside office hours

Publications

  • Working with the Marketing Manager to ensure that all required publications are produced in line with the required schedule and are of high quality.
  • Leading content development through relationship management with key staff.
  • To generate, write, produce and proofread quality content.
  • Generating ideas for appropriate content
  • Liaising with printers and designers to ensure production is high quality, cost effective and completed as required to meet the Farm &
Wildlife Park Requirements

  • Organising distribution of publications through external suppliers and internal channels
  • Manage the generation and production of written content as required which presents the Farm in a positive and professional manner
  • Leading marketing and communication campaigns to raise the profile of the Farm through generation of ideas and content
  • Proofreading content from staff around the Farm & Wildlife park
  • Manage content distribution via all of the appropriate internal and external channels
  • Leading on video content from concept through to video production and editing
  • Basic skills in using programs like Canva or adobe illustrator to create fun, engaging signs and posters to advertise and guide general public on site and to our events.
Social Media

  • Managing the monitoring of all social media channels which will involve checking content for appropriate content, proof reading and identifying the best of the content to share from other accounts
  • Creating/editing/producing content for social media channels
  • Identifying opportunities for social media content through your own ideas and via liaison with general manager and departmental managers.
  • Managing the coverage of the above opportunities through attendance at events to capture photos and film for social media channels
  • Track analytics to measure effectiveness and efficiency of digital marketing campaigns
  • Collect and collate feedback into actionable points
  • Engage with customers to answer basic questions and act effectively to avoid basic Q&A
  • Spearheading the ambitious growth in audience retention, watch time and engagement.
  • Being an expert on any changes to trends in video publishing and social media and ensuring we are ahead of the curve when it comes to content published on those channels; Develop video & content to achieve superior customer engagement/intimacy, website traffic & revenue by strategically exploiting all aspects of social media & online marketing roadmap.
  • Ensuring all content is produced within brand guidelines and in
- keeping with the tone of relevant Jimmy's Farm & Wildlife Park channels.

  • Support the marketing & admin team with website maintenance, performance and content
  • Analyse social media & video campaigns and report back to Marketing executive with ways to develop; write regular reports, error free,
quickly and efficiently; understand results, analyse and understand trends to improve

  • Monitoring customer satisfaction through market research and feedback; identifying actions and campaigns to enhance wherever possible; flag any negative comments to the teaM/Formulate strategy to best mediate conversations
Website

  • Work with Marketing Manager to do day to day management of the page content, ensuring that it is kept up to date, relevant and fit for the purpose of providing visitors with a user friendly experience
  • Manage the troubleshooting of minor issues and liaising with IT support and web hosts on more significant issues
  • Track analytics to measure effectiveness and efficiency of overall website and individual pages
  • Collect and collate feedback into actionable points
Events

  • Provide pre and post event administrative and setup/clear down support to staff as required
  • Attending events to perform roles as required. This may include events outside of normal working hours, in the evening and at weekends, for which you will receive time in lieu
  • Provide coverage of events through all appropriate channels
Other general tasks

  • Occasional tours in support of development and brand partnership
  • Management of our photo and video library.
  • Attend staff briefings to source stories and content
  • Office administration
  • Photography, video editing.
  • Any other tasks deemed reasonable by general manager
General

  • All new employees are on a sixmonth probationary period unless otherwise stated
