Job Introduction We have an exciting new role as a
Systems & Applications Support Specialist **to provide technical systems support to the Asset Information Data Processing team; manage business continuity, disaster recovery and storage redundancy plans.
Main Responsibilities- Maintain the AI Data Processing team development LAN and SAN, including Wireless LAN (WLAN) and Virtual Private Network (VPN) connections.
- Provide hardware and specialist software support for users of the Data Processing team LAN.
- Produce technical documentation for information systems, including change and configuration management procedures, disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Provide technical input into system development and compatibility issues.
- Provide statistical and trend analysis of system performance and usage.
- Liaise with Information Management on information technology issues

The building has ample parking with additional spaces available through Milton Keynes Council. This location is generally only available at weekends and during public holidays.
Essential
- Experience of supporting local and wide area networks.
- Significant experience of supporting information systems
- Detailed knowledge of current and emerging data transmission technologies.
- Microsoft or Cisco certification.
