1:1 Teaching Assistant Vacancy

  • Grade 4, scp 7. £22,369 per annum, pro rata


  • Actual Salary £16,547.5

  • Permanent Contract
  • 32 Hours per week


  • Mon

  • Fri, starting 08:40am & finishing between 3:15pm 4:30pm
  • Term Time only + 5 INSET days
  • Starting ASAP


We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work at Fosse Way School, a school for children aged 4-19, who have an Education, Health and Care plan.

Applicants from specialist or mainstream settings are encouraged. The position will be an excellent opportunity for colleagues looking for a new challenge. Previous experience of working in a special school is an advantage although training will be provided.


As a Teaching Assistant at our school, the role is incredibly varied meaning you could be providing more general classroom support and at other times you could be working on a 1:1 basis with an individual child.


The post holder's responsibilities include the meeting of pupils' emotional, social and physical needs and liaising with teaching staff in the development and delivery of a differentiated curriculum.
