Security and Operations Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Security and Operations Manager.


You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of their security and cleaning street teams and will further develop the BID's security and business resilience programmes across Holborn and Clerkenwell.

Hours:
Full Time, permanent, 35hrs per week


Salary:
£40,000 - £45,000 per annum dependent on experience

The Role


As Security and Operations Manager you will have overall responsibility for the management of the CDA Security and Cleaning Street Teams.

Which includes strategic taskings, weekly data returns, rotas, uniform standards, attendance, performance, training, staff wellbeing and safety.

Core responsibilities of the Security and Operations Manager include:
*Managing the CDA emergency notification app, including horizon scanning for threats, notice of protests and marches
*Creating innovative content and timely dissemination of critical information to our security stakeholders
*Being the project lead and primary point of contact for all crime, antisocial behaviour, and business resilience issues
*Organising the BID's quarterly CDA Security Group forum
*Attending local problem-solving meetings, ward panels, and strategy groups and leading the crime and safety agenda
*Developing an inclusive women's safety strategy to complement the GLA's Women's Night Safety Charter
*Supporting our communications team with quarterly security-related articles for the BID's newsletter/website and providing regular social media content for Twitter
*Conducting regular spot checks across the BID area to ensure all environmental concerns are addressed
*Being the primary point of contact for local authority environmental services
*Addressing street population concerns in partnership with our local authorities and outreach agencies
*Supporting the CDA events team with event risk assessments, safety and security advice and operational support

About You


To be successful in this role you will need to have extensive knowledge and experience in managing a team, stakeholder engagement, operations, community safety, security and emergency planning.


Some of the other key skills required are:
*An understanding of the public and private sectors
*Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
*A confident negotiator with an innovative and proactive approach to problem-solving
*Strong project management skills that adhere to the principles of PRINCE2 or similar
*Able to prioritise own workload and deadlines within competing project critical paths
*A passion for delivering excellence and customer service
