This role is a Customer Data & Insight Analyst to join a market leading retail brand that is historically very successful and currently experiencing a real growth period.


Your role will be to:
"Use analytics, research and data visualisation to develop insights about customers, competitors, and the market that can be used to drive improvements to commercial performance."


Some key responsibilities:

  • Working with the Data & Insight Manager and key stakeholders across the business to understand customer insight and data analytics needs and turn them into qual/quant research or data projects
  • Initiate projects by taking stakeholders through the formal project briefing process to enable scoping/sizing/costing and prioritisation to be undertaken before items can be added to the insight plan for delivery
  • Work with the Data & Insight Manager, Direct Marketing Manager and external agencies when relevant to further develop the customer segmentation and loyalty models
  • Identify opportunities to move externally produced insight and analytics work inhouse, and then undertake the work required to complete the migration and productionise delivery of the work
  • Work with the Customer Acquisition Manager and Digital Marketing Executive for Acquisition to move forward the analytics and attribution reporting and generate insights in the digital space

Knowledge/experience:

  • Experience working in a customer insight / analytics role or using insights, preferably B2C and ideally in a multichannel business with a significant online business
  • Demonstrated operational excellence of championing, leading and supporting change in a dynamic business
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, including use of external data sources/tools
  • Proven understanding of different insight approaches and tools, including qualitative and quantitative research
  • Experience using a data visualisation tool (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, Looker)
  • Experience using SQL
  • Excel skills, as well as general computer literacy
  • Ideally experience with digital analytics tools e.g. Google Analytics 360, Adobe Analytics
