Health and Justice Services part of the Specialist Service Network for GMMH are looking to

recruit a committed and dynamic Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to work within

the Integrated mental health team (IMHT) working into HMP Styal. The post holder will be

responsible for providing psychological wellbeing practitioner services to adult, female service

users who are in custody within HMP Styal this will be delivered individually and via groups.

The IMHT comprises of multi-disciplinary professional's, including Mental health Nurses, a

Psychiatrist, a Psychologist, a high intensity therapist, an Art therapist, band 5 PWP's, a

assistant psychologist, and health care support workers, all providing mental health support to women across the prison estate.

The post holder would be expected to work with a caseload of clients providing detailed

assessments and psychological therapy, often spanning several months.

As a Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner the role would also incorporate the clinical

supervision and support of PWP staff and will work closely with the practitioner psychologist and high intensity therapist.

The post holder will work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the service's policies and procedures.

The post holder will receive clinical supervision in line with current trust policy by an appropriate

registered health professional likely a high intensity therapist/clinical psychologist
