As a key member of our digital marketing team, you will play a crucial role in developing and delivering our brand-new website, promoting responsible tourism, and supporting our valued members.

Role Overview:


Key Responsibilities:

Websites:_

  • Creating new business listings and events entries proactively researching content, and proactively sending to businesses for checking and updating;
  • Daily checks across website to ensure all links are working, all functionality is working reporting anything that isn't working;
  • Ensure all pages are Search Engine Optimised;
  • Daily monitoring of all website pages and marketing adverts to maximise visibility and website traffic to our members listings;
  • Research and create relevant and engaging blog entries.

Social Media:_

  • Assist in delivering signedoff content across all Social Media platforms (X, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and others) to align with the Annual Content Planner and as requested and signed off by the Digital Communications Coordinator;
  • Monitor all Visit Cornwall social media platforms to ensure they are being used in an appropriate manner.
  • Enter content into templates for signoff;
  • Check all links are working correctly and all content is accurate;
  • Ensuring the database is maintained to meet all regulatory standards meeting GDPR requirements.

Search Engine Marketing:_

  • Enter content into website templates for signoff to support Search Engine Marketing objectives

Design:_

  • Maintain Design Critical Path documents and briefings;
  • Chase Designer for outputs and ensure circulated for signoff in timely manner;
  • Maintain Visit Cornwall Mood and Design Boards.

Databases:_

  • Maintain and update the Visit Cornwall Members Database;
  • Make regular recommendations for the improvement and streamlining of these systems to increase effectiveness.

Annual content planner:_

  • Update and maintain the Visit Cornwall annual content planner proactively working with Visit Cornwall teams and thirdparty partners for content input;
  • Circulating to the Team and Third Parties on a regular basis.

Online photo gallery and video library:_

  • Resize and source photos and ensure copyright and credits are correct;
  • Maintain the Visit Cornwall photo library to best practice guidelines;
  • Maintain the Visit Cornwall video library to best practice guidelines;
  • Maintain the supporting administration.

Online PR:_

  • Maintain online Press releases as requested by the PR Executives;
  • Additional online assistant PR duties as required.

Video:_

  • Maintain all supporting documentation;
  • Assist with production duties where required and appropriate.

Digital advertising - sales:_

  • Assist with sales and customer service;
  • Upload adverts to correct online platforms to correct timelines;
  • Ensure adverts are removed on time;
  • Compile advertising reports for advertisers if requested;
  • Maintain advertising administration systems.

Quality assurance:_

  • Ensure all publishing is accurate and consistent;
  • Ensure best practice guidelines are followed by contributors;
  • Maintain conformity with brand management and housestyle guidelines;
  • Ensure compliance with all accessibility criteria and data legislation;
  • Work to approved publishing guidelines;
  • Ensure all materials are signedoff by appropriate personnel before distribution.

Reporting and analysis:_

  • Read and understand all Visit Cornwall digital team reports and analysis;
  • Create Google analytics reports as required;

Administration:_

  • Maintain and improve all Visit Cornwall administration systems, including databases, tender and finance documentation and the Members and Industry databases;
  • Maintain the inboxes;
  • Organise and represent Visit Cornwall at industry and external events.

General:_

  • Maintain and develop relevant industry knowledge and expertise;
  • Research and be aware of competitor activity;
  • Constantly look to identify new opportunities for Visit Cornwall digital presence and performance.

Personal & Team Responsibilities:


  • Act as an integral part of the Visit Cornwall team, supporting the Digital Communications Coordinator and other team members;
