Description

Pegasus Academy has a strong leadership team with enthusiastic and motivated staff with learners who are a credit to their community, with the mission to instil ambition and values to dream big in all our learners.

As a Trust we are highly centralised, which means that all of our systems and processes are aligned.

Everything we do is developed collaboratively involving many professionals and experts who work together across the Trust, all striving to provide the highest quality provision for our learners.

Teaching and Learning is supported by a central team of Subject Directors who are experienced teachers with leadership and mentoring skills who work across our academies supporting teachers in their personal development, data analysis and curriculum planning.

Subject Directors have specific areas of focus such as Mathematics, Science, Reading, Writing and History.

The Values Driven Expectations behaviour model ensures that all learners are well focussed and that there is no low-level disruption in lessons; this allows colleagues to concentrate on leading high-quality teaching to inspire learners.

Cutting edge data management processes also mean that key data is provided from the central team, freeing up your time to act on key information to accelerate learners' progress.

The Trust recognises that our staff are our most valuable asset and investing in our people is a key strategic priority for the Trust.

A common and extensive programme of staff development operates across the Trust, this is extended to senior and middle leaders, aspiring leaders, teaching and support staff and non-qualified teachers.

You will be joining the Trust at an exciting time as we are continuing our journey to provide a first-class education for the young people of Dudley, with outstanding teaching and learning being the Trust's foremost priority.

Closing date -Sunday 7th April we reserve the right to close this vacancy earlier than the date advertised.

All successful applicants will need to undertake an enhanced disclosure and barring service check and children and adults barred list checks, where the applicant will be employed in a regulated activity.

Dudley Academies Trust is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applicants from all backgrounds, including disabled, and black and ethnic minority applicants.

Pegasus is the smallest secondary in Dudley Academies Trust, with some 600 learners on role.

Under the leadership of Andy Landers, the academy has achieved five successive years of improved GCSE results, with both attainment and progress advancing significantly.

We are very confident that Pegasus would comfortably be in the top half of any league table published for Dudley.

Pegasus has benefitted from a major programme of improvements to its buildings and interiors. The academy now provides a professional and motivational environment in which good behaviour and positive attitudes thrive.

Like all of the schools within Dudley Academies Trust, Pegasus Academy benefits from a comprehensive range of support from the Trust's Central Team, covering everything from Teaching & Learning to Estates Management, IT, Safeguarding and Staff Development.
