Description

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team at the Under Fives Centre. Our mission is to ensure the safety, welfare, and holistic well-being of children and all users throughout the day.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Cleaning, Domestic, and Premises Duties:

Vacuuming carpets, cleaning floors, surfaces, and toys.
Maintaining cleanliness of toilets, including fixtures and fittings.
Operating washing machines and dryers for laundry purposes.
Assisting in the upkeep of basic domestic equipment and machinery.
Reporting maintenance issues and health and safety hazards promptly.

Children and Mealtimes:

Assisting in general care, activities, and comforting of children.
Setting up materials and equipment for activities and tidying up afterward.
Supporting teachers/nursery officers during visits and outings.
Assisting with changing and rinsing out soiled clothes and toileting.

Mealtimes:

Assisting children during mealtimes according to Centre policies.
Cleaning up spillages promptly to ensure safety.

Supervision and Educational Support:

Supporting in the supervision of indoor and outdoor activities.
Following the Behaviour Policy of the Centre under the guidance of childcare staff.
Ability to provide general care, activities, and comfort to young children.
Effective communication skills with parents, colleagues, and children.
Prior experience in cleaning.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Awareness of Health and Safety regulations.

Job Types:
Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 3 months

Salary:
From £13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
