About the role:
Electricity Transmission (ET) is navigating through an exciting time as we evolve to meet net-zero targets for 2050.

Joining us as an Asset Data Lead you'll define the strategy for implementing all asset data related activities, ensuring consistency and best practice data management principles are applied.


You'll liaise with a broad range of ET's internal stakeholders to create Business and technical data architecture and structures, manage, maintain & control the asset, geospatial and work management data, ensuring that all 250,000 assets that exist on the system are correctly registered and recognised in the regulated asset value.

Leading and developing technical asset data structures and architecture enhancements, you'll manage and coach a high performing team. You'll establish and develop monitoring and reporting processes on asset data lifecycle performance and Operate SOx asset existence controls. In addition, you'll define and document improved data collection processes and identify systems improvements for handling ET asset information.


This role will be based in Warwick, however other locations and hybrid working will be considered with occasional travel to our Warwick office and other National Grid (NG) sites.

What you'll need:


With extensive Data management experience and the development of data structures, you'll have proven experience in data modelling techniques and data management within Asset Management Core systems.


Knowledge and experience of the assets that make up the Electricity Transmission systems and/or how asset data is used across the business is essential as is significant knowledge and experience of Asset and Work Management processes.


With an in-depth understanding of fixed asset accounting and the requirements of Sarbannes Oxley, you'll also have experience in leading improvement programs and facilitating cross transmission consultation processes to deliver change.

Excellent analytical and Problem Solving Capabilities are also key.
