Main Purpose of Job
- To assist the Attendance Officer in collecting attendance information from parents, students and teachers to ensure safeguarding priorities are met at all times.
- To support Curriculum and Pastoral departments in administrative work.
Main Responsibilities and Duties
- Attendance Support (normally 23 hours per day)_
- Completes appropriate attendance data input into the schools MIS.
- Under the day to day direction of the Attendance Officer and SLT contacts parents regarding student absence.
- Liaises with teaching and pastoral staff regarding planned and unplanned student absence, ensuring registers are accurate and completed in a timely manner
- Deputises for the Attendance Officer in case of absence, and supports them in all matters related to attendance.
- Departmental and Pastoral Support (normally 45 hours per day)_
- Provide administrative support for Heads of Department, including, for example, production of letters, departmental minutes, schemes of work
- Provide administrative support for departmental and pastoral detentions including contacting home
- Assist with the administration of school trips.
- Assist with Reception duties in the case of absence.
- Contribute more widely to the administrative functions of the school as need arises.

Additional Information
- The normal working week is one of 37 hours, for a total of 39 weeks per year (term time only).
- The annual salary will be paid at Grade 14, £21,189 £21,96
- Annual leave must be taken during the school holidays.
