Main Purpose of Job

  • To assist the Attendance Officer in collecting attendance information from parents, students and teachers to ensure safeguarding priorities are met at all times.
  • To support Curriculum and Pastoral departments in administrative work.

Main Responsibilities and Duties

  • Attendance Support (normally 23 hours per day)_
  • Completes appropriate attendance data input into the schools MIS.
  • Under the day to day direction of the Attendance Officer and SLT contacts parents regarding student absence.
  • Liaises with teaching and pastoral staff regarding planned and unplanned student absence, ensuring registers are accurate and completed in a timely manner
  • Deputises for the Attendance Officer in case of absence, and supports them in all matters related to attendance.
  • Departmental and Pastoral Support (normally 45 hours per day)_
  • Provide administrative support for Heads of Department, including, for example, production of letters, departmental minutes, schemes of work
  • Provide administrative support for departmental and pastoral detentions including contacting home
  • Assist with the administration of school trips.
  • Assist with Reception duties in the case of absence.
  • Contribute more widely to the administrative functions of the school as need arises.

Additional Information

  • The normal working week is one of 37 hours, for a total of 39 weeks per year (term time only).
  • The annual salary will be paid at Grade 14, £21,189 £21,96
  • Annual leave must be taken during the school holidays.
