Role Summary:
As a Junior Traffic Management Planner,you will play an important role in the success of LMEs events by contributing heavily to the operational event delivery across all our event portfolio.
Temporary Traffic Management and road closures is at the heart of what we do, and you will be supporting the existing Traffic Management Planner with liaising with Stakeholders, Contractors, and internal staff to ensure we create a sterile field of play for our participants.
This role offers fantastic opportunity for development including but not limited to qualifications relating to Traffic Management.Remit:
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Traffic Management Planner assisting with route design and stakeholder management relating to road closures and traffic management
- Assisting with producing and delivering traffic management plans that support the overall Event Management Plan and liaising with Operations staff to ensure all plans meet the required standards and timescales.
- Required to follow projects from initial design stages through to onsite completion and project debrief postevent
- Offer support to the Traffic Management Planner by attending onsite visits with operations team, stakeholders, and suppliers for all events.
- Work with, and assisting with the management of contracts with suppliers and operational budgets
- Work with Health & Safety contractors for public, staff and participant safety
- Work with the wider team to integrate road closure timings with participant flows and infrastructure install & derig across the route
- Operational role on event days
- Feed into event debriefs and collate feedback from defined areas of responsibility
Essential skills and experience needed:
- Good knowledge of London Roads
- Logistics & Operations Experience
- Route management skills/experience and event industry knowledge OR Temporary Traffic Management planning experience
- Confident and able to work autonomously
- Ability to build strong working relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
- Experience with working within budgets and negotiating contracts
- Work within a large temporary team environment during the event delivery phase
- Ability to work under pressure in lead up to events
- Very positive and enthusiastic attitude as a team member
- Highly organised, with a broad skill set and a creative thinker, who can multitask
