Job summary:
You will be responsible for leading The Apprenticeship Strategy, Planning & Governance Team, in the newly formed Apprenticeship Centre of Expertise.
The post holder will be expected to work across the Apprenticeship Centre of Expertise, interfacing with the other G7 Head's to support the holistic delivery of the DWP Apprenticeship Strategy
Developing and delivering the DWP Apprenticeship Strategy and approach. Assessing and impacting policies, legislation, strategies and guidance that impact the use of apprenticeships in DWP.
Development and delivery of engaging communication products promoting and energising the Apprenticeship brand enabling a professions led approach grounded in business need.
Liaising/engaging with external facing stakeholders. Delivering DWP Social Mobility Apprenticeship Strategy. Leading evaluation approach, focusing on driving quality improvement_._Job description:
The DWP Apprenticeship Centre of Expertise is an exciting and evolving team within DWP People, Capability and Place.
The team engages with professions and third-party apprenticeship providers to lead on the DWP Apprenticeship Strategy and meet the Cross-Government target for apprenticeships, and ensure quality provision is delivered to the right people at the right time.

- Leadership of the Strategy, Governance & Planning team within the Apprenticeship Centre of Expertise.
- Influence government policy/approach
- Act as the Single point of contact for Cabinet Office Apprenticeship Strategy Team (CSAU) and DfE Account Manager
- Lead Apprenticeship Reform Project team and strategy development/delivery
- Shape and support delivery of DWP apprenticeship strategy and direction communication and engagement approach.
- Lead implementation of Quality Framework. Design and lead evaluation, communications and engagement approach for business as usual and future strategy work. Including working with external IiP partners and supporting the shaping and delivery of Cabinet Office Apprenticeship Satisfaction survey/local surveys.
- Apprenticeship risk management
- Working with key stakeholders to develop approach to strategy delivery e.g. Senior Boards, HR Colleagues and relevant Capability Stakeholder Forums.
- Leading the work force planning process for apprentices at Profession and directorate level to establish workable forecasts aligned with overall business strategy and resource supply.
