Senior Mechanical Engineer - Automotive


Location:
Andover, Hampshire


Salary:
£45,000 - £60,000


Premier Group are looking to bring on a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Andover, to work on projects through multiple industries.

This role will be mainly focused on projects through the Automotive industry.


Skills required:


  • Degree qualified within an Engineering field or equivalent
  • 5 years' experience within the Automotive industry or similar
  • SolidWorks proficient
  • Experience with a range of manufacturing methods and hands on approach
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Electrical and Electronic knowledge
  • Quick problemsolving abilities

The Role:


  • Support and mentor junior engineers
  • Conduct DFM studies presentations and customer feedback within projects
  • Lead R&D projects
  • Lead/support customer driven events
  • Work closely with the purchasing team to reduce costs through the projects and resolve any supplier related issues
  • Use FMEA practice to ensure designs are robust
  • Completing projects from concept through to completion
  • Conducting design reviews
  • Meeting and discussing requirements with clients
  • Resolving any issues throughout the projects
  • Attending project reviews and updates
  • Working alongside multiple departments through the design and manufacture process
