Following the acquisition of a smaller subsidiary business, our client is looking to add an Accounts Assistant to the Sales Ledger team based on the outskirts of Manchester.

This is a varied and unique role that will also provide a structured and systematic career path to enrich your experience in line with your accountancy career ambitions.

Reporting to the Finance Manager the Accounts Assistant will support the sales ledger of the business with the following aspects:

Sales ledger work, allocating cash and providing copy invoices for delinquent accounts
Credit Control managing client portals and ensuring payments are received
Dealing with 3rd parties regarding collecting payment and dealing with invoice queries
Issuing credit notes
Company expense reconciliations
Adhoc month end tasks for the Finance Manager

To be successful in this Accounts Assistant Sales Ledger role you will already have gained accounts based experience of opne of the areas above and be a competent user of Microsoft Excel.

Good attention to detail and an ambition to learn more about finance and accountancy is also a must and you will ideally already have started your AAT studies.
