Description

Role - Web Operations Engineer

Location - Milton Keynes - Hybrid model with 3 days in office

Salary - £50,000 - £55,000

My client, a leading global eCommerce organisation are searching for a Web Operations Engineer to support the live website, monitoring and resolving any performance, functional or security issues.

Working in a team and collaborating with the engineeringand dev ops engineering teams, you will be tasked with identifying areas for improvement in the platform's performance, robustness, and scalability.

Some of what you will be doing:

Discovering, analysing and logging information for reporting of issues and performance
Be an active part of investigative system bug triage and informing stakeholders on impact analysis results
Using APM tooling to proactively monitor system performance
Suggest initiatives to improve the scalability, efficiency, security and stability of the environment
Developing deployment processes and automation strategies in collaboration with other teams

A bit about you:

Selfreflective individual able to identify personal areas of development to progress your career
A keen problem solver with impeccable communication skills
Experience with log analysis tools such as Kibana
Experience with APM tooling
Previous experience in web security
Experience within the ecommerce industry Hybris or other
Firm grasp of web browser and HTTP Protocol
Good CDN Knowledge
Experience using Linux
