Personal Assistant (PA)/Support Worker

About the Direct Payment Holder

A young boy with a diagnosis of Autism who loves playing with toys like Kinetic and playdough is seeking a PA to support with family trips to the park, soft play and a children's café etc.

Hours and rate of pay
3 hours - 1 day per month

£15.40 per hour - PAYE

£16.96 per hour - self-employed

Location
Letchworth

DBS/Checks
Confirmation of DBS check

Right to Work and references will be needed.

Training
Training will be offered to enable to complete the mandatory training required:

Safeguarding Children
Paediatric first aid
Moving and handling

What you would be doing

The PA's main responsibility will be to be a pair of helping hands for mum while outside the home at either a park, soft play or similar.

Required skills and experience
Someone kind, understanding, non-judgemental, someone that is engaging and who the young boy is happy to spend time with.

Experience with looking after nonverbal children with Autism.

Car owner/driver preferred so can meet the family at local activities.
