Location:
Edsential's Head Office is based at Whitby Hall Lodge, Stanney Lane, Ellesmere Port, CH65 6QY. This position will involve travel to the Halton area.


Wage:
Starting salary £19,920 per annum FTE (£10.35) prorated plus local authority pension scheme, Employee Assist Programme and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (prorated)


Hours:
Part time/Permanent/Term time only/Hours of work to be discussed at interview.

Edsential are a community interest company owned by Wirral, Cheshire West and Chester Council to provide a range of traded services to schools.


We are looking to recruit a Governor Clerk to work in schools across Halton to provide a professional clerking service to school governing boards.

Professional clerking is about ensuring the efficient functioning of the governing board by providing:

  • Effective administration and organisational support
  • Guidance to ensure that the board works in compliance with the appropriate legal and regulatory framework and understands the potential consequences for noncompliance
  • Advice on procedural matters relating to the operation of the board

What do we require from you?

  • Excellent administrative skills
  • Strong customer care skills
  • Personal commitment to excellence in service delivery
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing and translate complex information into easily understood guidance
  • A current driving licence and access to a car for business use as travel to Halton is required
