Purpose of the Role:


In order to support our customers to be successful, it is important for ClubWise to exercise appropriate financial controls so that we maintain a healthy balance sheet that supports the management of the business.


As Finance Administrator, you will be responsible for assisting the Finance Team Leader and the Finance Manager with the day to day book keeping of the business, updating our accounting system with the details of debtors, creditors and bank reconciliation for ClubWise UK and Australian subsidiary companies.


Summary of the Role:

  • You will be responsible for the end to end management of creditor invoices, from posting in the correct general ledger and bank reconciliation through to organizing payments and delivering creditor reports to the Finance Manager.
  • You will provide input and financial reports to inhouse and company accountants to assist in the production of management and annual accounts for group businesses including appropriate commentary as necessary.
  • You will assist the finance team leader with completing our UK VAT and Australian GST returns on a quarterly basis and the reconciliation of multicurrency bank accounts.
  • You will support the monthly disbursement of client funds through BACS payment scheduling.
  • You will assist with the monthly invoicing of Australia customers.
  • You will assist the support team with enquiries from customers about accounting related questions in ClubWise, ensuring tickets are managed in accordance with our SLAs and providing input to the Development and Release teams in respect of finance related system changes.
  • You will be responsible for being current on the latest Industry and Compliance requirements including FCA mandatory training in order to assist in the completion of Anti Money Laundering Checks and FCA compliance tasks.
  • You will support the Finance Manager and Finance Team Leader with any financial administration activities as required.
  • You will develop a working knowledge of the company profit and loss and balance sheet so that you can appreciate the impact of your role on the overall company financial reporting.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent record keeping, organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Good analytical, numerical reasoning and problem solving skills
  • Basic understanding of book keeping and financial records management
  • Ability to work to deadlines with good prioritization and time management skills
  • Good communication skills both oral and written
  • Must be IT literate
  • Ability to follow processes and procedures to ensure accuracy
  • Ability to work by yourself and as part of a Team with mínimal supervision
  • Excellent data entry skills

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Working towards an appropriate AAT financial qualification
  • Be competent in mandatory FCA Compliance modules
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • An interest and knowledge of the health and fitness Industry

Further details:

  • This is a fulltime position of 40 hours per week (Monday
  • Friday)
  • It is a hybrid role with an expectation of up to 3 days a week in the office
  • The salary for this role is between £22,000 £24,000 per year, depending on experience.
