Governance Coordinator, Museum, London, Temp role, £15-17 p/h plus holiday pay.

Our client, a well renowned Museum based in London, requires an Executive Assistant to start ASAP. You will be providing essential administrative and project support to the Governance and Executive Leadership Team.

The main duties of the Governance Coordinator role are:

  • Being central to the smooth running of the Governance structure
  • Managing diaries and travel arrangements, dealing with incoming and outgoing correspondence, filing (paper and digital), preparing meeting briefs, updates and undertake research on organisations/individuals in preparation for meetings as required
  • Provide intranet updates on the work of various Governance boards
  • Liaising with wide range of people at all levels on matters of a confidential nature
  • Provide secretarial support which will include organising meetings, preparing, and distributing papers, taking minutes of the meetings, and updating on progress periodically
  • You will organise and contribute to the organisation and running of various museum functions, which will include evening receptions, luncheons, and special tours of the Museum
  • Provide support in making arrangements for VIP visits
  • Provide administration support as required, including researching, and preparing talks and presentations
  • Maintaining the filing system and take responsibility for archiving files as necessary
  • Preparing and administrating expense claims
  • Taking responsibility for regular reporting


You must have proven experience in providing EA/PA and administrative support in a role requiring organisation of information and providing excellent customer service.

You will be required to work proactively and independently as well as across differentteams in order to contribute to and deliver the priorities of the Museum - using your knowledge, skills, talent, and potential to the best of your ability.

You must have excellent communication skills both spoken and written, have excellent organisationaland time management skills with the ability to multitask and manage multiple commitments.

You will focus at all times on delivering excellent customer service.

You need to be able to use your initiative, build rapport with a broad range of people and be ITproficient.

Experience of working for a museum or similar cultural sector is desirable.
