This renowned Institute is now recruiting for a Head of Finance, who will not only manage their team but provide valued input to their project work and transformation program.

Key aspects of the role include:

Managing, developing and mentoring 12 finance staff including both qualified and non qualified individuals
Setting and reforecasting budgets
Tracking and understanding the spend for projects ranging from £50k to £40 million
Understanding and tracking the funding for projects, which comes from a variety of sources
Monitoring the Institute's assets vary from small to very substantial
Having good communication skills to explain project finance to non financial people
Analysing any areas which need change or improvement. This could include system changes or how best to use current resources.
Overseeing audits and year end.

To be successful in this Head of Finance role, it is likely you will have worked in one of the following areas: charities, universities, public sector or government, research and development, other institutes.

The organisation will consider people from outsidethese areas however. You must also have good communication and management skills and be adept at tracking all aspects of project finance.
