We are looking for a qualified Welder/Fabricator to join our small team in our workshop based in Sandon, Chelmsford.

Concepts in Metal was established in 2003 and has been growing steadily every since.

We take on a wide variety of work and are looking for an experienced welder who can work well independently and produce good quality work under pressure.

We have a diverse client base, ranging from the general public to large companies, giving us a wide range of projects and some really interesting commissions.

Projects are very varied.


What We Are Looking For:

• 1 year experience in a work place is preferred.
• Competent in MIG, TIG and general fabrication.
• Hard worker who can work well independently and as part of a team.
• A valid/in date CSCS card would be a great advantage but not essential.
• Good ability to read detailed drawings.
• Polite and conscientious applicant who will represent the company well.
• Full UK driving licence and transport to and from workshop, as well as driving the company van.
• We are looking for someone who wants to join the company long term with intentions of working their way up as Concepts in Metal continues to grow.

The Role:

• MIG and TIG welding
• Mainly Steel, Stainless Steel and Aluminium.
• Metal fabrication including use of CNC plasma, hand plasma, angle grinders, bandsaws, drilling, rolling, bending.
• Occasional site work including fitting railings, balconies, staircases etc. in the local area or fitting our "HangerRack" Systems all over the country, usually London.
• Possibility of overtime at a higher rate.
• Working hours are somewhat flexible so this can be discussed.

£13.00-£16.00 per hour
