About the Role:


Dermatica is looking for a strategic thinker, strong communicator, and inspiring leader to join our team as the Head of Brand as we enter a new phase of growth.


Our Head of Brand will support in shaping the company strategy and be responsible for developing the annual brand plans, setting team OKRs and tracking ongoing progress.


We're looking for a creative thinker who wants to create bold and disruptive marketing campaigns to drive brand awareness whilst establishing our clinical expertise and category uniqueness.


The Head of Brand will need to work closely with the Head of Growth to deliver full funnel brand campaigns, Head of NPD to deliver the physical brand extensions, Clinical Lead on educational content and the Product Manager to ensure consistency of Brand across our digital platforms.


Key Responsibilities:

Executing and Analysing Research

  • Be consumer and market obsessed. Execute and analyse ongoing consumer, competitor and market insights, bringing key learnings to relevant teams across the business to help define strategic plans or growth experiments.
Developing and Setting Strategy

  • Support Brand Director in the shaping of the Dermatica brand strategy
  • Set department OKRs quarterly and report and monitor ongoing performance to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team
  • Ensure consumer centricity how do we communicate our USP to our customers? What makes it of value to them? Where do we need to be for our consumers? How do we inspire and incentivise?
Identifying and Planning Tactics

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams and external partners to generate ideas, align, build and execute multi channel campaigns
  • Craft inspiring and compelling communications and powerful messaging that resonates with new and existing consumers across all treatment areas and consumer touchpoints
  • Understand best in class examples of brand executions across brand channels to ensure we remain innovative and inspiring
  • Together with NPD, Clinical, Product and Creative teams, shape product positioning and define product concepts with clear USPs prior to formulation sign off.

What You'll be Doing:


  • Inspire and develop a team of
  • Build cross functional full funnel campaigns measuring impact on brand awareness, associations and overall equity.
  • Grow our organic social impact and reach through inspiring and educational content, alongside experimental boosting campaigns
  • Develop a clear plan for building and rapidly scaling our owned Dermatica communities while driving awareness, advocacy and equity by partnering with 3rd party communities
  • Content strategy, calendar, production and reporting

Knowledge & Experience:


  • Previous Head of Brand experience within a startup environment healthtech or beauty a bonus
  • 10+ years in brand management and able to demonstrate key fundamentals from positioning to pricing, messaging to marketing
  • A track record of developing talent & leading individuals
  • Excellent communication skills to build trust and cooperation across the business, ensuring twoway communications internally and externally to reinforce the HeliosX mission and values
  • An agile and resilient leader fully accountable for team performance, ensures team is motivated and inspired while focusing on individual team members personal development
  • Experience in shaping and leading strategic planning, working cross functionally with relevant key stakeholders to deliver clear brand growth strategy and SMART objectives to deliver company vision
  • Bias towards action, able to execute with speed and quality
  • Ability and desire to think creatively, build compelling, fresh ideas with a discerning brand eye
  • Ability to organise, prioritise, and deliver multiple outputs concurrently under time constraints
