We are looking for an Events & Comms Co-ordinator to support our Development Team which is made up of all the BHS regional and national managers as well as the volunteer support team. The Development team provide an engaging local presence focused on delivering the work and activities of the charity at a local level. The Event & Comms Coordinator will support the team in creating and communicating promotional material for local/regional/national events and activity across multiple platforms.


Key skills needed for this exciting role:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal with good customer service.
  • Enthusiastic and selfmotivated with excellent teamworking skills.
  • Previous experience and technical skills in creative writing, marketing and design, with good proofreading skills.
  • Excellent IT skills as well as competent socialmedia user across all platforms.
  • Ability to prioritise, organise workload and work to deadlines
  • Good equine knowledge with full understanding of the equine market

Here's some information on the role.

  • You will support the Development team by creating engaging content for promoting a variety of equestrian activities locally.
  • You will be responsible for creating and uploading relevant content regarding upcoming events and activities to the BHS website in liaison with Regional/National Managers, volunteers and the marketing team.
  • You will design new resources and templates to develop a library of useful promotional material to support volunteers and Regional/National Managers in promoting their events, for print, digital and social media.
  • You will be confident in the use of social media to enable the marketing and promotion of local activities to increase engagement and reach new/widen range of audiences.
