Formed in Kingston upon Hull in 1991 as a manufacturer of insulated panels for cold storage, Paneltex is one of the world's leading temperature-controlled vehicle body builders and converters.

Thirty years later, Paneltex produces hundreds of refrigerated vehicle bodies, vehicle body kits, and portable cold stores a week out of seven specialised factories across the UK.


Position Title:
Technical Sales Representative


Hours of work: 40 hours per week - Monday - Friday


Salary:
£40,000 - £50,000 (DOE)


Other Benefits:
Equivalent of 32 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays), Contributory pension scheme & Life Assurance cover.


Job Overview
You will be responsible for discovering and pursuing new sales prospects and maintaining customer satisfaction. The goal is to meet and surpass the company's expectations to drive rapid and sustainable growth.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs
  • Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking and social media
  • Set up meetings with potential clients and listen to their wishes and concerns
  • Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products/ services
  • Create frequent reviews and reports with sales, market and financial data
  • Ensure the availability of stock for sales and demonstrations
  • Participate on behalf of the company in exhibitions or conferences
  • Negotiate/close deals and handle complaints or objections
  • Assist internal and external sales in winning new business
  • Providing customer quotations and specifications for standard and specialised designs
  • Liaising with suppliers and customers to ensure that specifications are appropriate, technically feasible and deliverable on time
  • Assisting the Production team with planning realistic completion dates in line with the needs of the business and customer
  • Keep up to date with current OEM chassis and van data
  • Keep up to date with ancillary equipment suppliers in line with the needs of the business and customers.
  • Keep up to date with new developments in the industry to ensure that Paneltex products remain competitive.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Technical / Engineering background preferred
  • Experience within automotive manufacturing, refrigeration vans and/or vehicle conversion would be an advantage
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • The ability to identify and follow up on leads
