Business Development Management - Freight Sales


Our client is seeking an experienced sales professional, BDM or Account Manager with a proven background within the International Logistics & Freight Forwarding sector.

Our client are a well-established Freight Forwarder and are looking to continue theirgrowth with the acquisition of a Business Development Manager.

- £40 to 60K depending on experience and transferable accounts

Role:

  • Identify strategies for new business/sales plans to generate new business leads and execute leads into sales.
  • To win new business, with both existing and "new" customers, in line with the agreed business strategy
  • Create, maintain and develop a new portfolio of customers utilising the company brand and services.
  • Achieve monthly sales revenue in line with targets raise brand awareness and act as a brand ambassador.
  • Hand accounts in a client efficient manner to the operations / key accounts team.
  • Upsell and crosssell where possible, taking care to always deliver added value to customers.
  • Report to managing director
