Generator are looking for a highly organised project coordinator to help coordinate our events and programme delivery for our popular Skills for Growth and Generator Union strands.

Salary:
£20,000 - £22,000 pro rata


Hours: 28 hours per week (4 days / week)


Location:
Newcastle Upon Tyne, with some remote working

About the role


This role will take a lead on coordinating and organising our increasingly busy and complex programmes across the organisation, with a particular focus on our groundbreaking Skills for Growth programme and our Generator Union network.


From assisting with programming and producing engaging and exciting events, to handling administration and reporting requirements to ensure our funders are happy, this role will play a key part in ensuring our programmes and events run smoothly, meet our targets and ensure our participants get the most from the programmes.


You'll handle venue bookings and other event admin, monitor and report on sign ups and ticket sales to help influence our marketing department's work and ensure all regulatory, safeguarding and health and safety procedures are followed.

You'll be the main point of contact for speakers and event talent, ensuring they have everything they need to deliver a great event, workshop or class.


The role will take the lead at events, coordinating front of house and back of house functions to ensure participants and talent are looked after, ensuring events are appropriately staffed and represented.


The role will ensure the marketing team have all the material they need in order to market and promote events and programmes, ensuring timely sign offs and approvals are achieved with enough notice.


As an ambassador for the Generator Union network and its members and benefits, you will champion the network to your contacts, help bridge conversations and connections between members and ensure every member feels included and involved in the network.


About You
You'll be impeccably organised with a proven track record in event production and administration. You'll be a people person who thrives off building relationships and sparking conversations.


You will have a keen eye for detail and know exactly what is needed to make a networking event, seminar, workshop, conference or session a success.


You will be an excellent networker, with a wide ranging contact list to draw on, from venue relationships to business contacts.

Experience of ticketing platforms like Eventbrite and experience of events marketing would be a huge plus.

You'll have a passion for creativity, the arts and culture and believe in our mission and vision.

You'll be comfortable with working remotely, independently and sometimes unsociable hours to ensure our events happen year round.

The organisation delivers a year-round programme of activity ranging from fully funded courses to one off workshops, seminars and networking events as well as a major music festival which over the years has provided a platform for chart-topping artists including Sam Fender, DuBlonde, Lanterns on the Lake and Nadine Shah.
